October Gets a Head Start: A Robot Sidekick and a Fresh Parts Bin

October 1 is shaping up as a two-for-one launch day. Astro Bot arrives as the PlayStation set's gift-with-purchase companion, terms still unconfirmed, and Pick a Brick refills with more than 800 new elements from June's sets. One is a finished figure, the other is raw material for whatever you build next.

LEGO Officially Reveals Astro Bot Gift to Accompany the PlayStation Set

PlayStation gets its mascot. The 276-piece 40899 Astro Bot arrives October 1 alongside 72306 PlayStation, with a cape, blue propulsion jets, swappable eyes and a display stand. Terms are unconfirmed: The Brick Post reports it free with the console set during release week, while others cite a rumored $150 threshold.

Minty Take

A mascot figure is the right kind of GWP for a console set: small enough to give away, charming enough to make the $179.99 PlayStation feel like a launch-week bundle. If the threshold lands at $150 instead of requiring the console, the gift starts working on the whole LEGO order, which is where GWPs earn their keep.

LEGO Pick a Brick Adds 800-Plus New Elements October 1

Pick a Brick's October refresh is a big one. More than 800 elements from June's sets go on sale October 1, in any quantity, findable with the tag '2026OctNew'. Brick Fanatics singles out the minifigure parts as the standout, and advises writing down part IDs before the drop.

Minty Take

The few months between a set's release and its parts hitting Pick a Brick is the quiet engine of MOC building. New elements stop being locked inside one box and become something any builder can buy by the handful. Eight hundred in a single drop is a full pantry refresh, especially for custom minifigure makers.

Gaming brands are supplying LEGO's promotional hooks

An Astro Bot gift for PlayStation, a Japan-only controller stand tied to Fortnite, Sonic, Minecraft and Mario spending, and Pokémon sets in October's slate all draw on video games. Watch whether Astro Bot's final terms set a template for console-adjacent gifts, and whether regional exclusives like Japan's stand stay regional.

Classic themes are coming back through fan-designed sets

Wild West gets two BrickLink Designer Program sets across Series 9 and 10, and Series 10 adds a medieval joust. Fan-designed sets are where Western and Castle nostalgia is showing up first. Series 9 crowdfunding opens October 6, and its pace will show how much appetite there is.

Marvel's Doomsday wave lands in a single drop

Three Marvel sets and a BrickHeadz pack are dated October 4, while Brick Fanatics is already steering readers back to Endgame-era sets. Stud City notes big sets are increasingly hard to buy, using the older Avengers Tower as its example. Expect the new tower's stock to be the story.
