A Free Tree, a First Look at 2027

The Fan Creator Summit, rebranded from Fan Media Days, delivered its first scoop today: the 2027 LEGOLAND exclusive. A Modular Building anniversary event already promises a 2027 wave reveal in December, and Brickset and Jay's Brick Blog are both on the ground through Thursday. Expect more from Billund before AFOL Day and Skærbæk wrap the week.

The second 2026 review period closed with 92 qualifying projects, and four more designs, including Baby Sinclair and The Polar Express, just cleared the bar for the third review. If past years hold, results from the first 2026 review land in October, meaning LEGO Ideas fans could get two rounds of news within weeks of each other.

Batman Day capped a year of anniversary programming, and the momentum doesn't stop: Legacy of the Dark Knight just added its Mayhem DLC, and DC's NYCC panel on October 8 promises three new vehicles plus an adult-focused set built around the franchise's most iconic villain. Expect the reveal to lean hard on the year's celebratory framing.

Life-size lightsabers have quietly become a recurring GWP category, and now LEGOLAND's 2027 exclusive builds an entire set around an upscaled minifigure. Fan builders are running the same idea in parallel, with a community-built giant Batman minifigure surfacing this week. When official and fan-made converge on the same format, it's usually a sign LEGO sees room to expand it.
