Winter Village Arrives Before Halloween Even Ships

September's retiring-soon update adds 300-plus sets, but SlapShotBricks flagged sets that sold out before ever appearing on the list. That gap between official retirement and actual availability has widened all year. Expect more sets to quietly vanish from shelves before LEGO.com gets around to saying goodbye.

Yu-Gi-Oh's first official LEGO set didn't come through the usual product-team pipeline. It came through a fan vote, the same route LEGO Ideas has used to test niche audiences before committing further. Professional designers are refining the model now, with a 2027 release. Watch for whether a full theme follows.

Downton Abbey's approval proves the Ideas parking lot works: projects that clear 10,000 supporters but miss a review cycle can still resurface as sets later. It's a quieter validation than a first-round win, but for shelved fan designs, it's the difference between forgotten and eventually built.
